Letters of Complaint, Thanks, and Apologies

Dear Spring Weather,
Thank you for returning. I missed you while you were gone. You are welcome to stay for a long time. Don't let summer weather push you out of here too early.

 

I should find a nice place and a good book to enjoy this beautiful weather.

Dear Lee's stomach problems,
Please leave us alone! We are both tired of dealing with you. You are draining us physically, emotionally, and financially.

 

Lee has a sad tummy.

Dear ER nurse from last night,
You were not a very good nurse. We've had you before and you weren't good then either. You hardly ever came to our room and let us know what was going on or checked in on Lee. When you were in the room, you only spoke when necessary. Trust me, we've had plenty of ER nurses and you have been one of the worst.

 

Ok, maybe you're not the "worst" nurse, but you were pretty bad.

Dear Husband,
I'm sorry you have to deal with these stomach issues. I really wish the doctors could figure out what causes them and control it. I love you and will always be here to take care of you.

Dear New Stack of Ungraded Papers,
I don't want to grade you either. Why am I so behind at work? Why am I so unmotivated to catch up? It's probably because there's only 6 weeks of school left for this year and I already have my mind on what I want to do better for next year.

 

Yea...that's kind of how I feel. Where do they all come from? I should stop giving assignments.

Dear Companies, Telemarketers, Colleges, etc. Who Keep Calling Me,
STOP! I don't know how you got my number but you are driving me crazy! I don't want to buy what you're selling. I don't want the "prize" I won. I also don't want to attend your college (read the letter above...I can't even keep up with my work now).

 

STOP CALLING MEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Dear Library Book I Requested,
Where are you? You're the 3rd book in the trilogy I was reading. I requested you on March 29! It said I was number 8 in line. It hasn't changed since then. What is going on? Did someone steal you? I just want to know what happens!

Should I hire detectives to find you?

The Last Thing Thursdays #4

Yay! I finally am able to do one of these again. For the last 2 Thursdays I have been unable to post a blog because I've had other things going on. One of those things was our Outer Banks trip that you can read about here. The other thing was work related...boo! So despite the fact that we are in the ER again for Lee's stomach problems, I'm writing a Last Thing Thursday blog.

The Last Thing I...

Ate: Chicken Noodle Soup for lunch-I had some pretzels in my lunch bag to snack on, but I forgot my lunch bag at school. So, I'm sitting in the ER with Lee and I'm hungry. I wish they'd come give him some medicine so I can go get some food...

 

Bought: The CAFE Book-This is the literacy program Wake County will be using next year. So, I figured I might as well go ahead and buy it and start reading it for next year. My school year will be over in 6 weeks! This year has flown by. 

 

Drooled Over:  These Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies-I LOVE mini Reese's and I LOVE chocolate chip cookies so these look delicious. After I finish this blog, I will be pinning this!

Cried About: This video about a high school senior with cancer who was taken to her prom by Trent Richardson, Alabama football player. (I couldn't figure out how to post the video...only the link, but it's worth watching)

Laughed About: I spent the majority of my afternoon yesterday watching videos from The Ellen Show. She's so funny! Of course, I've probably laughed at something since, but not as hard as I laughed at some of her videos. Here's one of my favorites...the woman at the end cracks me up.
