Wild Scarf and Encouraging Scripture

I was very excited to participate in my first ever swap this month.

It was a scarf & scripture swap. This caught my attention because I love scarves and scripture.
Scarf and Scripture Swap

With this swap, you had to send a scarf and one of your favorite scriptures.

I was paired with Kera from Nugget on a Budget.
Photobucket

She has an adorable little girl (see picture above) and she hosts a great link up every Sunday that you should check out.

Kera was very quick to send me my package and I was very happy when I got it. Isn't getting mail fun?

I opened it up (look how cute it's packaged!).

My first thought was oooo...this scarf is wild! I love it!

Then, I read the scripture she sent me.

One of my next thoughts was I need to get some new outfits to wear this cute scarf with!

Thanks Kera!

All About Me {ecards version}

About a month ago, I met a great, fellow NC blogger, Allie. Allie blogs at Tales of a TwentySomething. She writes about all kind of things, but most notably-nail polish. If you love nail polish, then you and Allie will quickly become best friends.

Right now, she is hosting a super huge giveaway! She got together 14 other bloggers (myself included) to offer up 2 awesome prize packages. You don't want to miss this!

Another thing Allie loves is connecting with and promoting fellow bloggers. She often lets other bloggers guest post on her blog and today it's my turn!

So, if you want to read more about me as told through ecards, you'll have to head over to her blog.

One Picture

If you're visiting from the link up, I'd love to have you check out Ornaments for Adoption while you're here.

It's time to link up with The Austin Family Diary and Life. Love. Lauren. for the LAST DAY of the 10 Day You Challenge.

Last week, this link up had us all sharing our favorite or meaningful songs. This week is  1 picture. I can't believe this link up is over. It's been a great 10 weeks getting to know everyone better and it's been so simple knowing what I'm going to post about every Tuesday. I hope you ladies have something new coming up for us.

Asking me to pick ONE picture is a cruel thing to do. I LOVE pictures and I have so many! So, I took a nice walk down memory lane and looked through every picture of me on Facebook. After a lot of thought and a lot of changing my mind from one picture to another, I finally settled on this one:

This may seem like a strange choice for ONE picture. I thought about a picture from my wedding or a picture from the day I got engaged or my last picture with my grandmother.

My mind kept going back to this picture, though. This was one of the best summers of my life and these girls are some of the best friends a girl could have asked for.

We have so many memories together. We weren't your traditional group of friends. We went to 4 different high schools and the difference in age between the youngest person in the group and the oldest person is 4 years. But we had one thing that brought us close together and gave us a strong friendship bond: a relationship with Christ. We all went to the same church and this was the summer we had a Bible study together. We also went out a lot and had lots of sleepovers. I think most of my time during this summer was spent with one or all of these girls.

Since then, we have grown apart as is only natural when your life takes you in different directions. We have all graduated from high school. Four of us have finished college and have our "big girl" jobs. Three of them are still working on getting their degree. Two of us are married and one of them has a precious new son. Two of them are engaged. Two of us have moved away.

Yet, I know that no matter what happens, these girls will always be there for me as I will be for them. A true friendship grounded in Jesus Christ is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.

What qualities do you look for in a friend?
